77 standards and regulations named across this site, each with a brief on QES letterhead, and a full report for the 13 our clients ask about most. Every status was checked on October 24, 2026.

The October 24, 2026 Check

What Changed, and What Has Not Happened Yet

We checked every standard on this site against its publisher or official text. These are the changes that moved a date, an edition or a status, and the corrections they made to our own pages.

September 16, 2026

ISO 9001:2026 published

The sixth edition replaced the 2015 text. Certificates to the old edition remain valid until September 30, 2029.

April 15, 2026

ISO 14001:2026 published

A transition of about three years is expected. Our site had listed the 2015 edition.

2026

ISO 19011, ISO 10012, and ISO/IEC 17020 revised

Each now carries a 2026 edition. ISO 10012 replaces the 2003 text; ISO/IEC 17020 reworks independence.

Planned for 2026 but not published by October 24, 2026. AS9100D certificates remain valid.

2020

Z540.3 is withdrawn

1995–1996

Military quality specifications canceled without replacement

MIL-Q-9858A and MIL-I-45208A were canceled in 1996, not superseded by ISO 9001. They still bind where a contract cites them.

From August 1, 2030

EU toy rules move to a Regulation

Regulation (EU) 2025/2509 replaces Directive 2009/48/EC. The 2024 amendment to EN 71-3 has been harmonized since December 2025.

A full revision has been in consultation since July 2025. The 2011 text remains in force.

The Library

All 77 Standards, by Industry and Jurisdiction

Choose an industry, a jurisdiction, or both. Each card opens a page with the requirements, what an auditor asks to see and where systems fall short, and a PDF to keep.

Reading a Brief

What These Documents Are, and What They Are Not

Short enough to read before a meeting, specific enough to act on.

Brief or Full Report

Each brief is one page: what the standard covers, who it applies to, its key requirements, what an auditor asks to see, and where systems fall short. The 13 full reports add the structure, a numbered requirements checklist, an implementation roadmap, and the findings we see most often.

  • Current EditionThe edition in use, with no newer one published.
  • New Edition, 2026A new edition published in 2026, usually with a transition period.

  • CanceledCanceled, but binding wherever a contract still cites it.

Summaries, Not Substitutes

These pages summarize; they do not reproduce or replace any standard or regulation. Buy the standard from its publisher, or read the official text, before relying on a detail, and note the date each status was checked. Nothing here is legal advice.
